People have asked me for years what my appeal to photography and videography is, I always answer the joy I see when light and composition meet to make an artistic moment in time, that just required me to snap the photo at the exact moment gives me a sense of great satisfaction.
WELCOME TO THE WORLD AS SEEN THROUGH MY LENS
After 18 years with CNN, I am using my skills to work on productions and photography that I wish to work on.
Based in North Georgia, I’m able to work with video, photography, and editing to create a product your happiest with.
I usually work with natural lighting with my subjects, but for years worked with controlled conditions lighting. I have an interest in working all types of productions .
RON HELM VIDEOGRAPHY AND EDITING
Over the years I was with CNN these are works where I was the primary photographer for the story. I have a Canon EOS C500, a 5D Mark ii that I use as my primary high definition camera, along with a Go Pro Hero 2 as another production camera. I work in 720p, 1080i, and 4k formats, and edit with Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro.
I have experience with editing both commercially and private productions. And can be used for wedding, commercial, corporate video, news, and documentary productions.
I am experienced and seasoned videographer with 32 years of award winning work.

I find candid photo’s are the most artistic and interesting photography. Catching a moment and freezing it in time, from a moment of discovery or emotion. I come from a photojournalism style of photography but can work with models and posing as well.
